Pettonton ペットントン is an alien character from a 1980’s Japanese children’s TV series.
Pettonton furthers the Bliss Speak concept as a Japanese reinterpretation of an American design influence— E.T.
In the original series, Pettonton’s body was soft and flexible, with unusually long, stretchable arms. When he is happy, such as when he is kissed by a beautiful woman, his arms expand and allow him to fly, but when he is sad, they shrink . He can understand the language of animals. He is often punched, kicked, and otherwise assaulted, but because he is soft, he seems to be able to cope with it surprisingly well.
